Chiropractic

Literally means "treatment by hand". A chiropractor is highly trained to determine the cause of a patient's ailments and deliver the proper course of care. This care not only relieves symptoms but also works to alleviate the cause of pain. The chiropractic approach to better health is to detect, reduce and help prevent nervous system dysfunction by increasing joint mobility!

Chiropractic care is widely recognized as one of the safest, drug free, surgery free therapies available for treatment of back and neck pain, headaches and other musculo-skeletal conditions. Few other therapies can demonstrate a better safety record for the treatment of spinal pain syndromes. Chiropractic can help with trauma from birth, growing pains, sporting accidents, car accidents, postural stresses, or arthritic pains.

After a thorough examination, your doctor of chiropractic will determine your proper course of care. If chiropractic is right for you, care will be focused on improving joint and postural dysfunctions. A carefully orchestrated treatment plan will involve joint mobilizations and manipulations, as well as, stretching and strengthening of the supportive spinal musculature. Home exercises and care recommendations will also be given.

Chiropractic care extends beyond the treatment of back pain. Chiropractic can help….

Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound therapy promotes quicker healing by using a high frequency sound wave. Ultrasound waves increase the blood flow to an area. This helps to break up inflammation and scar tissue.

Interferential Current

Interferential current is used to help decrease pain and spasm of tightened or constricted muscles. Using electrodes over the soft tissue gentle pulsed waves are sent into the muscle fibers. This feels like "pins and needles" or a "buzzing" which decreases the sensitivity of the inflamed structures. The pulsed waves also increase blood flow to the area and help to reset the over activity of the muscles.
